Terms & Conditions

Hotel Bookings

We require full contact and debit / credit card details when booking. We do not accept provisional bookings.


For bookings of 4 or more rooms, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and will be non-refundable and non-transferable.


We guarantee all our guests a non-smoking environment both in The Dining Room and in all our bedrooms. Therefore if smoking is discovered in a bedroom an additional night’s charge will apply to cover the fee for the following evening as the room will become unusable.

Restaurant Bookings

For parties of eight or more, a £10 per head non-refundable deposit is required plus a 12.5% service charge. We require 24 hours notice (prior to booking time) for any cancellations. Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from the booked arrival time will result in full payment.

We require Christmas party orders at least 7 days before the booking date along with a £10 per person non-refundable deposit. We require 24 hours notice (prior to booking time) for any cancellations. Failure to notify us before arrival will result in full payment.

Final Payment

On departure of the hotel you will be required to settle your account in full.


If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of the arrival date 50% of your full stay is payable to the hotel. If you do not notify us before your arrival date 100% of your full stay is payable to the hotel. Cancellation charges will be charged to your credit/debit card. In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to: accept the changed arrangements as notified; or make alternative arrangements or cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to The Bildeston Crown Hotel in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation).

Any cancelations made for bookings on New Years Eve will result in fill payment after the 1st December.


All prices are per room in £’sterling (unless otherwise stated). All prices include VAT at the current prevailing rate.

Prices are subject to change without notice; we reserve the right to alter your rate should a mistake be identified. Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured online at any time. All extra occupance in rooms are charged at £10.00 per night. (children, young adults or pets included)

Single Guests

We offer a single occupancy rate on all of our rooms. This rate is not available with any offers or on Fridays & Saturdays.


For children ages 3-15 we offer extra beds in the rooms. These are subject to availability and are charged at £10 each per night. We also offer cots for younger children again at £10 each per night. The £10 rate does not includes breakfast.


We are able to accommodate dogs, at an extra charge £10 per dog per night


If guests would like to bring their own alcohol, corkage of £20 per bottle will be charged.

Car Parking

Car parking is free at the rear of the hotel.

Arrival and Departure

Hotel rooms are normally available from 3:00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11:00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed with reservations.

Meal Arrangements

Those rates which include dinner offer a choice from the Sunday menu (Sundays only), Classic or Select menu (not Sundays). There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests.


Any damage caused by you or your party during your stay in the hotel, will be charged to your credit card.

Special Requirements

Please advise the hotel of any special dietary needs or other requirements, including mobility issues, you may have prior to arrival.

Special Requests

Whilst every effort is made to fulfill your requests, unfortunately we cannot guarantee these and failure to do so will not constitute a breach of contract.

Complaints or Comments

Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at the hotel should be made in the first instanceto the hotel’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that all reasonable efforts can be made to resolve the situation at the time. Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified in writing to The Hotel Manager.

Third Party Suppliers

Elements of your break may include service supplied by third parties (for example entrance to activities, bike hire, shooting etc). Such third party suppliers will usually have their own set of Terms and Conditions relating to the services they provide. You should consult any third party Terms and Conditions soon after making a booking if your break includes such items.

Accuracy of Details

While we have tried to ensure that all information about the hotels, facilities, attractions and events are accurate we cannot accept responsibility if this is not the case. Please do remember that facilities may alter from time to time and The Bildeston Crown cannot be held responsible for any changes that occur or any errors or omissions in respect of the information. Liability is therefore excluded for any loss of expense incurred further to reliance upon such information.

Privacy, Cookies Policy

Your privacy and security is important to The Bildeston Crown when visiting our site. The Bildeston Crown will not loan, rent or sell your personal details to any third parties without your prior consent and will comply with all data protection legislation in force from time to time with regard to the treatment of any data it collects using the website.

In common with most websites, The Bildeston Crown uses cookies to capture certain information about our site’s use:

• We use analytic cookies to understand how our site is being used. This measures the number of visitors and tells us how they navigate the site.

• We offer sharing tools (Facebook, Twitter etc) – If you use these the sharing tools those sites set a variety of cookies.

We seek to maintain compliance with the ICO regulations in force from 26-May 2012. It is widely accepted that the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC’s) clear and concise guidance on cookie regulations, though not constituting legal advice, provides the best guidance in lieu of any official documentation from ICO which is not yet available.

To that end we categorise cookie use as follows:

1. Strictly necessary: to fit this category, the cookie must be “related to a service provided on the website that has been explicitly requested by the user”. Obvious cases include shopping cart cookies and access to protected areas. We also include cookies which remember previously entered text so it is not lost if the page refreshes in this category. This is in line with ICC suggestion.

2. Performance based: the ICC guidelines includes analytics, advertising and Pay Per Click cookies in this category – provided they only store anonymous data and cannot therefore be used for behavioral targeting of ads.

3. Functionality based: these include cookies that remember user choices so that they have a more personalised experience. This may include detecting if the user has already seen a popup so that it isn’t shown again, submitting comments and remembering colours, text size, etc.

4. Targeting/ advertising based: primarily these are the cookies that the ICO regulations were originally aimed at. This is aimed at cookies such as those which serve up targeted ads. The ICC guidance on these cookies, advises website owners to get clear, explicit consent from users if a site employs such technology. We do not use any cookies of this type.

We do not ask user consent for category one, two & three cookies on our websites in accordance with ICC guidance (PDF file) that no opt-in is required for these types of cookies by the user. We do not use any category four cookies, and would always ask for permission if we did.
