This stunning original 15th century coaching inn is owned by local farmer, James Buckle, in an area bursting with top notch gastropubs using excellent local produce. The Bildeston’s red poll beef comes from James’ own cattle but wild game comes from nearby shoots. With a roaring fire in the front lounge, quality produce well utilised on the plate and a good wine list, this standard of cooking is a rare find.
