STOP PRESS – THE BILDESTON CROWN TAKES SILVER

We have some great news that we couldn’t wait to share with you...

Following our simply amazing month last October when the hotel picked up both the Tourism in Suffolk Award for best small hotel and then only weeks later won the same category for East of England Regional Enjoy England Awards for Excellence, The Bildeston Crown was automatically put forward to the national heats In February we received the fantastic news that we had in fact been short listed to the final three for the Hotel category alongside pretty impressive competition in the form of East Lodge in Derbyshire and Gidleigh Park in Devon.

Well, on Thursday 23 April, we were flying the flag for Suffolk as the only finalist for the county at the award ceremony known affectionately as the Tourism BAFTAs. VisitBritain organised the spectacular black tie event at the National Railway Museum in York. On this occasion, however, we left with Silver seeing Gold go, we are sure deservedly, to East Lodge/Gidleigh Park. Of course disappointed about the Gold but we are absolutely delighted with the Silver and the fantastic recognition that we and The Bildeston Crown have received as part of this journey. Not bad for a business which has only been up and running just over five years!
