The Hairy Bikers' Tour of Britain

The Hairy Bikers' Tour of Britain is a new series in which Simon King and Dave Myers get on their bikes to find the best of each county's larder and meet the local producers who are keeping traditional recipes alive.

In this first programme of the tour, which was filmed last February, the duo start with Suffolk.

Si and Dave cook a traditional county favourite at Snape Maltings, collect flour from a working water mill, and then pit their new-found knowledge against our Chris in a cook-off. Restaurant diners decide who has created the dish that best defines Suffolk.

Hope you can join us and see if Chris' dish of local mallard, which goes on the Bildeston Crown's Select menu this week, wins the day.

Hannah Miles is a lawyer by profession and a Country Cook by vocation. Only a few years ago she was sitting in a Canary Wharf tower, working with one of the largest law firms in the world. These days her vistas are much more rural and her employer is one of the other business concerns of the owners of The Bildeston Crown.

In 2007, Hannah made it to the final three of Master Chef where she impressed judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode with her imaginative puddings. For this special lunch, Hannah will cook some of her fabulous desserts for us.
